Description
This Speed Pro 75mm x 175mm Masonry Joist Hanger is made from welded galvanised steel for excellent durability. The joist hanger supports timber joists, beams, and trussed rafters from masonry walls with a minimum crushing strength of 3.5N/mm². It is suitable for 75mm x 175mm sized timber joists.

Installation Instructions
- Always use compatible corrosion-resistant fixings and the correct mortar strength to adhere to British Standards
- Place the back plate of the joist hanger flat against the vertical masonry support
- Ensure the masonry flange has at least 3 courses above it (675mm of masonry). Make sure to securely fix the masonry flange or embed it adequately, and never place it in dry slots
- Allow the masonry to fully mature before applying any load to the joist hanger
- The joist should be square cut and sit tight to the back of the hanger with a maximum gap of 6mm
- Nail the side flanges with 30 x 3.75 galvanised square twist nails or other suitable fixings
- Use heavy-duty straps to provide lateral restraint
