Stormdry XR-Mortar is a repointing mortar for walls and should not be used in ground contact. The ready-to-use express repair mortar comes pre-packaged in a 310ml mastic cartridge. Simply apply the mortar directly to cracks and defects of up to 1 cm width using the supplied nozzle and a standard mastic gun. Once cured, XR-Mortar provides a long-lasting and waterproof repair that will visually blend in with most standard sand and cement mortars. The pre-packaged design allows for quick repairs to small areas without the need to source and mix materials, saving both time and money. Stormdry XR-Mortar is also fully compatible with Stormdry Masonry Protection Cream, meaning it is the ideal way to prepare walls which need small localised repairs before weatherproofing. XR-Mortar’s quick 4-hour drying time also allows for both repairs and Stormdry Masonry Protection Cream treatment to be carried out in 1 day. In cold and damp conditions this drying process can be slowed, especially when applied in thick layers. For thick applications, it may be necessary to apply the mortar in two layers to achieve an even cure. When applying the second coat push the mortar into the first coat for a good bond. - Note: If the Stormdry Xr Mortar is too thick to come out of the nozzle, cut off the end of the nozzle to make it easier to squeeze the material out. Occasionally if the cartridge is very cold it could thicken up, place the unopened tube in a bowl of warm water to warm the mix up before use.
