A native of the coastal woodlands of Japan and Korea, this evergreen shrub will give a tropical feel to any garden. The Fatsia Japonica or Japanese Aralia is a spreading plant with beautifully large, palmately lobed, mid-green leaves with a glossy sheen and leathery texture. Small, loose, spherical umbels of cream-white flowers appear all throughout the foliage in mid to late Summer and into the beginnings of Autumn followed by small, black fruits.
