This kit will deliver high-quality tasting water, on tap, as and when you require it. This system includes a high-quality coconut granular activated carbon filter, which reduces sediment, removes chlorine, organic contaminants, odours and toxins from your water. This kit provides exceptional value for money and will allow you to have readily available filtered water on tap. How it works Activated carbon filtration works via a process called adsorption, where pollutant molecules in the water are trapped inside the pore structure of the carbon. Think of the carbon being like a sponge, and it soaks up all the nasty tastes and smells as the water passes through it. The carbon will continue to absorb contaminants until it gets full and, this is why you need to replace the filter. We recommend replacing your filter after 6 months or earlier if the quality of your water begins to deteriorate (you will usually start to notice a smell and taste of chlorine again). You should aim to replace the filter after this time period has passed. The kit contains: 1 x Brushed Nickel Tap, 1 x Finerfilters FF-6010PF Inline Carbon Filter with Fittings, 1 x Double Mounting clip to secure the FF-6010PF filter, 1 x Self-piercing Feed Saddle Valve for 15mm mains copper pipe, 1 x 1/4″ Shut Off Valve to isolate water supply when changing the filter, 1 x 3-metre length of 1/4″ tubing to connect to the filter and tap, 1 x 7/16″ x 1/4″ quick connect tap fitting.
